1. Our approach
The Noa Nostalgi official site (operated by MashMyz / The Ark Project, "this site") keeps the information it collects to a necessary minimum. This policy describes what we actually do with visitor data.
2. Information we collect
This site collects three kinds of information: (1) whatever you type into the contact form (name, email, message, inquiry type) — forwarded by email to the operator via an email delivery service and never stored in a database; (2) information saved in your browser (see "Cookies & local storage" below); and (3) only if you consent, usage measurement data from Google Analytics (see "Analytics" below).
3. Cookies & local storage
This site stores the following in your browser. "nn_entered" (cookie, 180-day expiry): remembers that you've entered the site once, so the entry screen doesn't show again. "nn_ambient_mix_v1" (local storage): remembers your ambient sound mixer volume levels. "nn_hinted" (session storage): shows the room's hotspot hint only once per visit. "nn_consent" (cookie, 180-day expiry): remembers your accept/decline choice for analytics, described below. Other than the analytics cookies, none of this is sent anywhere outside the site. You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
4. Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it's being visited. It only runs if you consent via the prompt shown on your first visit — if you decline, no data is sent at all. The data collected is statistical: pages viewed, time on site, referral source, device type, and rough geographic region. It is not linked to your name, email, or other identifying information. This data is sent to Google's servers and handled under Google's own privacy policy. You can change or withdraw your consent anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
5. Third-party services
This site uses YouTube (some works embed YouTube videos; thumbnail images load directly from YouTube's servers, so your IP address is sent to YouTube/Google when a page with a thumbnail loads — video playback only starts after you click, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain youtube-nocookie.com), microCMS (used to manage site content such as articles and works; no visitor data is exchanged), and Cloudflare (used to host the site). Please refer to each service's own privacy policy for how they handle data.
